Intro to Yoga
Sun: 9:30 - 10:30am Wed: 6 - 7pm
Suitable for the absolute newcomer or yogis on the mend from illness or injury. No previous yoga experience required. This class will help you to set a strong foundation in yoga with specific focus on building strength, flexibility, balance, and the coordination of movement and breath. Challenge Level = E (for easy).
Pure Ashtanga
Tues: 7:30 - 8:30pm
Pure Ashtanga will lead you through the first half of the Ashtanga primary series, with an opportunity to explore each posture in more depth week by week. Students of all levels are welcome to join us for this fun and challenging class that delves into the traditional aspects of the practice more fully. Here you will have a chance to improve your practice by refining the postures that help to build more strength, flexibility and balance into your body. Challenge Level = M (for moderate).
Lunchtime Flow
Wed: 12 - 1pm
Suitable for students of all experience levels, this creative Ashtanga-based flow class is a great way to spend your lunch hour. Join us for a power-packed class that will lift your mood and re-energise your body before you return to work to finish out your day. Doors open at 11:45am for this class. Challenge Level = M (for moderate).
Evening Flow
Thurs: 6 - 7pm
This one-hour flow class incorporates postures from the first three series of the Ashtanga practice and will challenge you with weekly variations in the sequence. Open to all levels from beginners to advanced, this class offers you a chance to have fun while further developing your technique and practice. Challenge Level = M (for moderate).
Wknd Flow
Sat: 8:30 - 9:30am
Suitable for students of all experience levels, this one-hour Ashtanga-based flow class explores variations in posture sequence to open and strengthen the body. One of our most popular classes of the week! Challenge Level = M (for moderate).
Open Flow
Mon: 6 - 7pm
This one-hour flow class is open to all levels from beginners to advanced. No matter your previous experience, this class is a beautiful way to start your week. Postures are sequenced in ever-evolving variations to open your mind, open your body, and open your soul. Open Flow will challenge you with fun, adaptive vinyasa that leaves you smiling for the rest of the week. Challenge Level = M (for moderate).
Morning Mysore
Sun: 7:30 - 9am Mon - Thurs: 6:30 - 8am
Named after the city in South India in which this system was developed, Mysore style offers students the opportunity to practice independently under the one-to-one guidance of a qualified teacher. Traditionally suitable for the serious yoga student who wishes to develop as an autonomous practitioner. Challenge Level = V (for varied).
Please note that doors for the Morning Mysore class open each weekday morning at 6am for the 6:30am start and Sundays at 7am for the 7:30am start. Students are required to arrive and begin their Mysore practice no later than 6:30am on weekdays and 7:30am on Sundays. New students attending Morning Mysore will be required to register for a minimum of one month of study. Visitors with an established practice are welcome to drop in at any time without prior arrangement.
*Hips & Shoulders
Tues: 6 - 7pm
This specialty class takes a workshop-style approach to healing and balancing the health of your body. Using a combination of passive and active elements of Hatha yoga, we focus on opening and strengthening the often tight and problematic areas of the hips and shoulders. Suitable for all experience levels, students are encouraged to ask questions, which then help to shape the course of each class. Challenge Level = E (for easy). *Bolster required for this class. *Yin Yoga
Thurs: 7:30 - 8:30pm
Yin Yoga focuses on a soft progression of postures to help you wind down for the week. Each Thursday night you will play with a coordinated series of active and passive postures, with the single-minded intention of creating harmony between the mind and body to help balance your busy lifestyle. Challenge Level = E (for easy). *Bolster required for this class. BYO, or rent one from us on the night.
