Intro to Yoga
Sun: 10:30 – 11:45am Wed: 6 - 7:15pm
Suitable for the absolute newcomer or yogis on the mend from illness or injury. No previous yoga experience required. This class will help you to set a strong foundation in yoga with specific focus on building strength, flexibility, balance, and the coordination of movement and breath.
New to Ashtanga
Tues: 7:45 - 9pm Thurs: 7:45 - 9pm
Students who have successfully completed several weeks of our Intro to Yoga class (or have similar previous yoga experience) may begin to attend New to Ashtanga. We advise new students to call or email if they are unsure of their suitability for this class. Interested students may approach their teacher before of after their current class to seek approval for attendance.
Lunchtime Flow
Wed: 12:30 - 1:30pm
Suitable for students of all experience levels, this creative Ashtanga-based flow class is a great way to spend your lunch hour.
Evening Flow
Thurs: 6 - 7pm
This one-hour flow class incorporates postures from the first three series of the Ashtanga practice and will challenge you with weekly variations in the sequence. Open to all levels from beginners to advanced, this class offers you a chance to have fun while further developing your technique and practice.
Wknd Flow
Sat: 8:30 - 9:30am
Suitable for students of all experience levels, this one-hour Ashtanga-based flow class explores variations in posture sequence to open and strengthen the body. One of our most popular classes of the week!
Led 1/2 Primary
Mon: 6 - 7:30pm
This class explores the first half of the Ashtanga Primary Series up to and including Navasana. Often using a creative approach, postures are borrowed from elsewhere in the series in order to explore both alignment and movement principles. Suitable for students who have successfully completed several months of New to Ashtanga.
Led Intermediate Inspired
Sun: 7 - 8:30am
Our most advanced class of the week, students must seek prior approval to attend. Admittance is based on several factors including number of years' experience, proficiency, and prior training. Class opens with chanting and philosophy to inspire the postures that follow.
Morning Mysore
Sun: 8:30 - 10am Mon - Thurs: 6:30 - 8:30am
Named after the city in South India in which this system was developed, Mysore style offers students the opportunity to practice independently under the one-to-one guidance of a qualified teacher. Traditionally suitable for the serious yoga student who wishes to develop as an autonomous practitioner.
Hips & Shoulders
Tues: 6 - 7:30pm
This specialty class uses vinyasa flow to warm up the body before working specifically on opening the often tight and problematic areas of the hips and shoulders. Suitable for all experience levels, students are encouraged to ask questions, which then help to shape the course of each class.
Yoga Strength & Conditioning
Mon: 7:45 - 8:45pm Sat: 7 - 8am
This dynamic conditioning class combines yoga, strength-building, cardio and flexibility training all set to pumpin' tunes in a super fun, highly active hour. No previous experience required. You're guaranteed to sweat so bring a towel and a bottle of water for sure!
CDP Yoga
Fri: 6 - 7:30pm
Cleanse yourself of the toxins and impurities that have built up in your body during the week with this gentle-style class. CDP (Cleansing, Detoxifying and Purifying) Yoga is designed to bring peace and purity to the mind and body as you release stored negative energy and welcome rich new active vitality.
General Yoga
4 - 5:30pm
Suitable for all ages and experience levels, this general class builds the foundations of your practice. Perfect for developing your technique, students may choose to graduate from here to the Intro to Yoga class, or stay to enjoy this level.
